Classes for Grown- Ups




Childminding
We offer childminding during our weekly 9.30am classes as well as Wednesday 11am postnatal fitness session in the park. Our Super Nannies Judy and Sehar (both mums to 2 children) will entertain your children in our sound & child proof room (adjacent
to our yoga studio) while you take some time out for yourself.

Just some of the activities your children will be entertained with are chalk drawing on our blackboards, reading stories, singing songs and creative play (including dress - ups and make believe. One of our favourites is pretending to teach a yoga class!) Of course your little ones are welcome to sleep if it's nap time and the best part is your only in the next room and can always check on them through our adjoining window.

When: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday &  Friday 9.30am- 10.30am and Wednesday: 9.30am- 12pm

Where: In our adjacent room (if bringing a pram, enter via Harris Lane). Wednesday 11am session held in Sanders Park

Cost: $5 casual or $45 for a 10 sessions

Bookings are Essential 12 hours prior to each session. Please book for as many children as you wish to bring. Book now

Hatha Yoga
Combines Asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation. Classes include standing and balancing postures, seated postures such as forward bends, back bends, twists and hip openers, arm balances and
inversions finishing with a deep relaxation. Hatha Yoga is for every body of all levels of yoga experience, fitness, flexibility and strength. Beginner's & Postnatal women welcome.

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is the perfect compliment to traditional Yang Yoga practices. It gives you the opportunity to feel, explore and meditate in each posture because you have to hold each posture for a minimum of 3 - 5 minutes! It encourages a mindfulness
in one's practice and in contrast to a Yang practice that works on your muscle strength and flexibility, the Yin practice is designed to "juice up" your joints and connective tissues and helps to energize your major organs and help unblock the major meridians in the body.

Suitable for every body including pregnant women in their first and second trimesters.

Yogalates
Formerly called Core & Stretch, this class is a fusion of Yoga and Pilates, it merges the best from the east and the west. Using body resistance, fit balls and therabands, Yogalates focuses on healthy alignment, core strength, balance and flexibility. Yogalates
is for every body, of all levels of experience, fitness, flexibility and strength.

Yoga & Meditation
Classes include Asana (yoga postures) to enable to you sit comfortably to practise Pranayama (breath control), silence and a range of guided meditations to cultivate energy, inner peace and
self-understanding. You will leave each session feeling recharged, rejuvenated and at peace. This class is suitable for every body of all shapes and sizes and levels of experience (beginners and pregnant women welcome).

In this session we will delve deeper and discover ways to approach 2012 with confidence and power while honoring our feminine nature. From nurturing to activating our sacred centers learn how to harmonize your feminine and masculine qualities in order to manifest your goals and dreams. Experience the yogic way to thrive in a male dominated world and take away with you a fresh understanding of your unique strengths and talents. This will be a healing journey of self discovery and energizing the goddess within.

Participate in both Friday night and Sunday afternoon sessions is advised but not necessary.

Rebecca and Shivani have co-facilitated many goddess focused yoga workshops in Japan to rave reviews and now for the first time they bring their goddess focused yoga sessions to Sydney.

Rebecca Pflaum- Chakra Ma Yoga.
Rebecca has been teaching the joy of movement for the past 26 years and dedicated herself to the study and practice of yoga and meditation for the last seventeen years. Her passion is to share what she has experienced on this genuine journey so our lives can reach their fullest potential, richness and natural beauty. Her classes are joyful, challenging and encourage you to realize your full potential by opening body, mind and spirit.

Rebecca has studied very closely with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and is certified through the Kundalini Yoga Institute. She has a specialized certification in pre-natal yoga and is a level 2 Reiki practitioner. Currently living in Singapore, Rebecca gratefully spends much of her time now traveling the world and sharing her fusion style of yoga-Chakra Ma, and the wisdom gained through life experiences. Sara Shivani- Venus Yoga.
Shivani is known for her empowering approach to women’s health and wellness. She is creator of 'Venus Yoga' and her female specific style of practicing yoga has received an extraordinary response from women all over the world after teaching for a year in the international yoga community of Ubud in Bali. Shivani has trained in various styles of yoga and healing arts in India, China and, Japan (where she lived for a decade). She received her Yoga Alliance Instructor Training at the Yoga and Ayurveda Retreat Hospital in India while training under the Gurukul system (one on one training) with Dr. Senthil Kumar. Her female specific yoga studies are grounded in Osho inspired Tantra Yoga and Radiant Lotus Tao Yoga.
