"As a beginner to yoga I was not sure what to expect nor confident in my ability. My yoga instructor is attentive who helps me to reach my full potential while understanding my limitations and maintaining reasonable expectations of my abilities. Within a short period of time Ashtanga yoga has improved my flexibility, self-awareness, and health. I am very happy and content with my yoga instruction and highly recommend Yoganic to anyone practising or considering yoga."

"As a beginner, I've really enjoyed my classes with Yoganic. My instructor is very down to earth, always cheerful and great at what she does. I've been to a few other yoga classes and I find that the instructors have been a little arrogant and dismissive. My instructor is great with beginners to advanced participants alike. I've enjoyed these classes far more than any others. My instructor’s style, patience and professionalism are very much appreciated! I would highly recommend Yoganic to anyone, I love it!"

Why do 'Yoga or Pilates at Work' rather than at the Gym?
We come to your office to eliminate travel time at a time that fits in with your busy schedule. Unlike a Yoga or Pilates class at the gym, our class sizes are kept to a minimum so you receive the instruction, care and attention that you deserve! You won't get lost in the crowd like at the gym where it's not uncommon to have 60 people competing for the Instructor's attention.

With Yoganic's careful instruction, participants with varying levels of experience, flexibility and fitness levels, pregnant women and the injured can be catered for in a safe and nurturing environment.

Unlike Yoga or Pilates instructors at the gym, our instructor's qualifications are recognised by the International Yoga Teacher's Association (IYTA), we love what we do and live and breathe a healthy Yogic lifestyle rather than Yoga or Pilates just being a part of our repertoire.

What if I have to miss a class?
If you know that you will be off- site for a few classes, you may pay pro- rata. That is, pay only for the classes that you plan to attend before the commencement of the course. If you have to miss a class during your course you may "sell" your place to a colleague and they may attend in your place or alternatively you may attend a class at our beautiful studio in Willoughby. For our current timetable click here. Please note that make up classes must be completed within the current course period.

Can I attend classes on a casual basis?
Just like tennis, gymnastics, or dance classes, the more you practise Yoga or Pilates, the more progress you will make. To ensure that you don't fall too far behind and you get maximum value for your investment, we encourage participants to sign- up for a course.

What if I'm a Beginner?
We pride ourselves in giving as much individual attention to all our participants, particularly Beginners. Your Instructor will offer modifications of the postures and is available before and after the class to answer any questions you may have regarding any of the postures you have learnt. By request, we can organise a Beginner's course at your Company.

What if I'm not flexible?
Then Yoga or Pilates is just the thing for you! Many people think that they need to be flexible to do Yoga, but that's like thinking that you need to be able to swim to take swimming lessons. You will find that your flexibility will improve over time with practice and patience.

Do I need my own mat?
For hygienic reasons, we recommend you bring your own mat. If you're doing a Taster Class and don't want to invest in a mat just yet, bring a towel. We have mats available for sale for only $25 (inc postage). Choice of colours are available. Please click here to order. We don't recommend camping mats (which are often too thick and short) or towels in the long term as they're too slippery.

What can I do if my mat is slippery or dirty?
If your mat is slippery or dirty, try putting in your washing machine on a gentle cycle and then hanging it out to dry on the line.

Is it OK to attend Yoga and Pilates classes at work during Pregnancy?
If you're new to Yoga, have a history of miscarriages or undergoing IVF treatment, General Yoga isn't recommended in your first trimester. If you have prior Yoga experience, we encourage Yoga during all stages of your Pregnancy after seeking your Doctor's approval. We also offer 5 Prenatal yoga and one Prenatal pilates class at our studio in Willoughby. Please click here for a current timetable. If you would rather attend classes at work, we recommend a Private Session prior to commencing a general class so that Melissa can teach you the modifications and discuss any precautions. Pilates classes at work are not recommended during pregnancy.
