Private Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga sessions,
similar to personal fitness training, are tailored
to your specific needs. While general Yoga
classes have enormous benefits, private sessions,
allow you to develop a personal practice taking
into consideration your level of flexibility,
fitness, strength, injuries and ailments and level
of experience.
Why private or semi- private
sessions?
| 1. |
You're a beginner and
you want to learn Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
without being overwhelmed or intimidated |
| 2. |
You've practiced another style
of Yoga before but you want to learn the
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga sequence. |
| 3. |
You want to go to the next
level in your practice or work more
in-depth |
| 4. |
You have injuries (back,
knee, shoulder etc.) and want to use Yoga
as a form of rehabilitation. |
| 5. |
You have injuries or are pregnant
and want to know how to modify the postures
so that you can participate in a general
Yoga class (we recommend a Private session
before participating in a Corporate Yoga
class). |
| 6. |
You want to add Yoga to your
weight-loss or strength-training program |
| 7. |
You want to cross-train
for marathons or triathlons |
What is Ashtanga Vinyasa
Yoga?
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga involves synchronising
the movement of the body with the breath through
a progressive series of postures including a dynamic
flowing sequence known as Sun Salutations as well
as standing, balancing & seated postures,
including twists and backbends that build strength,
improve flexibility, detox the body and clear
the mind.
"I began weekly private sessions to advance my practice. I have found Melissa to be an attentive, caring and dedicated teacher and have progressed under her guidance. I especially enjoy the calm and very positive energy she brings to our weekly sessions. I would recommend Melissa wholeheartedly."
Brad Orgill, CEO UBS Australia (2005- 2008)
