Why do 'Yoga at Work' rather than at the Gym?
We come to your office to eliminate travel time at a time that fits in with your busy schedule. Unlike a Yoga class at the gym, our class sizes are kept to a minimum so you receive the instruction, care and attention that you deserve! You won't get lost in the crowd like at the gym where it's not uncommon to have 60 people competing for the Instructor's attention.

With Yoganic's careful instruction, participants with varying levels of experience, flexibility and fitness levels, pregnant women and the injured can be catered for in a safe and nurturing environment.

Unlike Yoga instructors at the gym, our instructor's qualifications are recognised by the International Yoga Teacher's Association (IYTA), we love what we do and live and breathe a Yogic lifestyle rather than Yoga just being a part of our repertoire.

What if I have to miss a class?
If you know that you will be off- site for a few classes, just let Us know the dates prior to the course start date and then you only pay for the classes that you plan to attend as long as you pay the course fee upfront.

If you miss a class during your 8- week course you may attend a class on an alternate day during the current course period if there is one available at your Company. If there is only 1 class a week offered at your Company, you may attend a public class with Melissa. Please enquire about days and times. If you're unable to attend these classes then unfortunately you will have to forgo the class. This is an incentive to do your best to make it to all the classes so that you get maximum value for your investment.

Can I attend classes on a casual basis?
Just like tennis, gymnastics, or dance classes, the more you practise Yoga, the more progress you will make. To ensure that you don't fall too far behind and you get maximum value for your investment, we encourage participants to sign- up for an 8- week course. Over 8- weeks you will learn a sequence and each week new postures will be introduced building upon those explored in the previous week.

What if I'm a Beginner?
We pride ourselves in giving as much individual attention to all our participants, particularly Beginners. Your Instructor will offer modifications of the Yoga postures and is available before and after the class to answer any questions you may have regarding any of the postures you have learnt. By request, we can organise a Beginner's course at your Company.

What if I'm not flexible?
Then Yoga is just the thing for you! Many people think that they need to be flexible to do Yoga, but that's like thinking that you need to be able to swim to take swimming lessons. You will find that your flexibility will improve over time with practice and patience.

Do I need my own Yoga mat?
For hygienic reasons, we recommend you bring your own Yoga mat. If you're doing a Taster Class and don't want to invest in a mat just yet, bring a towel. We have Yoga mats with 100% cotton mat bags available for sale for only $35 (choice of colours available). Please click here to order. We don't recommend camping mats (which are often too thick and short) or towels in the long term as they're too slippery.

What can I do if my mat is slippery or dirty?
If your mat is slippery or dirty, try putting in your washing machine on a gentle cycle and then hanging it out to dry on the line.

Is it OK to do Yoga during Pregnancy?
If you have prior Yoga experience, we encourage Yoga during all stages of your Pregnancy after seeking your Doctor's approval. If you're new to Yoga, have a history of miscarriages or undergoing IVF treatment, General Yoga isn't recommended in your first trimester. Melissa has extensive experience in Prenatal Yoga and offers Private Sessions and Public Classes. We recommend a Private Session prior to commencing a general class so that Melissa can teach you the modifications and discuss any precautions.
