Yoga for Beginners

For those who are new to yoga and wanting a slower and comprehensive introduction to yoga

Yoga for Beginners is a 10-week course tailored for those who are new to yoga and wanting a slower and comprehensive introduction to yoga or those who have taken a break from yoga and are in need of a refresher course. You will be introduced to yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation in a safe, friendly and supportive environment through our yoga for beginners program.

Mondays 8- 9.15pm

Next Course Starts:

May 1 – July 3, 8pm – 9.15pm

Investment:

$200 for 10 classes over 10 weeks. Includes a comprehensive manual PLUS a Yoga Mat PLUS a complimentary 2- week pass for unlimited Drop- In classes to be used immediately after the Yoga for Beginners course PLUS receive 10% off your next class pass.

Suitable for:

Those who are brand new to yoga or those that have had a break from yoga and are in need of a refresher course. This course is also suitable for those that have an injury, are chronically stiff or are looking for a way to get back into yoga after birth.

How do I book?

To book your place, please click here. Full payment is required upon booking.

What do I need to bring?

You will receive a free mat at the first class which you will need to bring  along to class each week.

What do I wear?

We recommend you wear comfortable, stretchy clothing and bare feet. Change rooms are provided. Personal belongings can be stored in the pigeon holes but we encourage you to leave your valuables at home or in the car.

What if I'm not flexible?

Then Yoga is just the thing for you! Many people think that they need to be flexible to do Yoga, but that’s like thinking that you need to be able to swim to take swimming lessons. You will find that your flexibility will improve over time with practice and patience. The Yoga for Beginner’s course is a good place to start.

What if I have an injury?

To ensure that each student receives lots of attention, we limit the number of participants on our Yoga for Beginner’s course . Our teachers will show you how to modify the postures to assist healing, preventing further damage and to help manage your pain. Yoga is a form of therapy has been proven to assist with back, neck, shoulder, wrist and knee pain. Many yoga teachers were introduced to yoga when they suffered an injury. For example, Melissa, Yoganic’s Director, came to yoga after it helped her to recover from chronic back pain suffered after being hit by a car as a pedestrian.

What if I'm pregnant?

We recommend that you join one of our 8- weekly Pregnancy Yoga, Pilates or Pilates Reformer classes which are tailored to the pregnant woman’s changing body.

What if I miss a class?

You may make up up to 3 missed classes at either the Monday 8pm, Tuesday 6.15am or Thursday 7pm Yoga for Beginners classes or any of our Yoganic Yoga or Yin Yoga classes prior to the completion of the Beginner’s course that you’re enrolled in. Kindly email us.

Can I take advantage of the Intro Offer?

Unfortunately you cannot use either of the Intro Offers for the Yoga for Beginners course but on completion of the course, you’re entitled to 10% off a 5, 10 or 20 class pass if purchased before the completion of your Complimentary 2- week unlimited pass if purchased at the studio.

What are my options once I have completed the Yoga for Beginners course?

Upon completion of the Yoga for Beginners course you will receive a complimentary 2- week pass to attend unlimited Yoganic or Yin Yoga classes to be used immediately after the Yoga for Beginners course PLUS you entitled to 10% off a 5, 10 or 20 class pass if you purchase it at the studio before the completion of your 2 week unlimited pass. After this you may decide to repeat the Yoga for Beginners (for which you’re entitled to receive a 10% discount) or continue to attend our regular classes.

Childminding
