Making time for yourself is vital if you want a thriving life and family. Yoga, Pilates and meditation are the perfect practices to help you slow down, focus on your breathing and reconnect with yourself.

Our classes are spread across a flexible timetable so you can come early morning while the kids are still asleep, during school hours, in the evenings after hubby is home from work or on weekends.

Classes

Slow Flow Yoga

A gentle approach combing strength, flexibility and stamina. Long held poses are linked together with flowing movements and breath awareness. Class includes standing and balancing poses, seated postures, backbends, twists and hip openers, arm balances and inversions, followed by relaxation. Slow flow helps you stay calm and grounded no matter what life throws your way.

Suited for women who:

  • have completed our Yoga for Beginners Series
  • have prior yoga experience
  • don’t have injuries or abdominal separation

If you’re new to Yoga, have taken a break or want to ease back in after having a baby, we recommend attending our Yoga for Beginners Series first.

Yin Yoga

A deeply restorative and meditative class where the connective tissues —the tendons, fascia, and ligaments- are stretched to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility.

Unlike Slow Flow Yoga, there are no sun salutes, no planks, no chatturanga and no standing poses. Instead you’ll do long-held seated, supine and prone poses.

Being still in a pose and bringing your attention to your breath helps you practice mindfulness, a tool that can be transferred from your mat to being more present and patient with your partner and children.

Yin Yoga is the perfect antidote for women who:

  • are tired, stressed or anxious
  • are tight and stiff
  • have a very active lifestyle
  • have injuries
  • are both brand new to yoga or very experienced

Reformer Pilates

A strong physical and emotional core sustain you through the challenges and overwhelming joy of mamahood. Get a full body workout on a Pilates reformer using spring loaded resistance. Classes engage the mind and tone the arms, legs and buttocks while concentrating on strengthening your core

Our reformer classes are limited to 6 participants so you receive personal attention and individual guidance from our instructors.

*If you’re new to Reformer at Yoganic, we need you to come to our Reformer Pilates Intro class before booking group classes.

Reformer Pilates Intro

Our introductory session familiarises you with how to use the Reformer Pilates equipment and teaches you the basic exercises and breathing techniques used in group classes.

Beginner Reformer Pilates

Designed to teach you how to use the Reformer Pilates and familiarise you with exercises to create a strong Pilates foundation.

Suited to women who:

  • are new to Reformer Pilates
  • have taken a break and need a refresher
  • are postnatal and are easing back into regular reformer classes
  • want to focus on technique and alignment

Intermediate Reformer Pilates

Designed to progress and challenge the knowledge, strength and flexibility you built in Beginners- plus an Introduction to more advanced exercises

Suited to women who:

  • have attended at least ten Beginners Reformer Pilates classes
  • have mastered beginners level exercises
  • don’t have injuries or abdominal separation

FAQ

What if I’ve never done yoga before?

We recommend our Yoga for Beginners Course which will prepare you to attend our Slow Flow and Yin yoga classes. Click here to find out more.

Do I need to do the Reformer Intro Session before my first class?

So that we can assess your level and determine the best class to meet your specific needs, our Intro Session is required before attending your first group class. In this session we will familiarise you with how to use the Reformer equipment, the breathing and the basic exercises. Classes are held on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 12pm.
