Our weekly classes and monthly Mamas Circle help you reconnect with yourself, your baby and other like- minded women. Come and be part of our supportive village of new mums.

Postnatal Classes and Mums and Bubs Classes

Your core, back and pelvic floor muscles which loosen during pregnancy are strengthened.

Join other mums to regain your strength, realign your spine and pelvis and improve your posture.

Benefits of Postnatal Yoga and Pilates

  • Reconnects and strengthens your deep abdominals and pelvic floor muscles
  • Prepares your body for more vigorous exercise
  • Heals abdominal separation
  • Improves your posture, relieves aches and pains, and prevents postural related injuries
  • Improves upper body and lower body strength
  • Improves self-confidence
  • Controlled breathing to reduce anxiety and help you relax
  • Bonds you with your baby
  • Meet other new mamas

Mums and Bubs Yoga

A fun and interactive class which nurtures and strengthens your bond with your baby with light- hearted and effective yoga practices you’ll both benefit from.

Class includes postnatal yoga for you, stretching and strengthening the muscles most in need while engaging with your baby and baby yoga moves accompanied by songs and rhymes to help with digestion, relaxation, sleep, co-ordination and motor development.

Mums and Bubs Pilates Mat

This full body workout on the mat uses your own bodyweight for resistance. Therabands, magic circles, foam rollers or hand weights are also used to tone, stretch and strengthen your entire body to help postnatal recovery.

Your bub might lie next to you, be involved in some of the exercises, or socialise with other bubs.

Mums and Bubs Reformer Pilates

This is a full body workout conducted on the Pilates reformer using spring-loaded resistance with a focus on core strength and stabilisation, posture and flexibility. Because the springs are adjustable, this class offers mamas of all levels a safe return to exercise post birth.

Your bub may lie on a mat next to you or socialise with other bubs. You can bring a baby bouncer, play mat or capsule. There are many moving parts and trip hazards so this is a non-mobile bub and mum class.

Reformer classes are capped at 6 people so you receive personal attention and guidance from our qualified Instructors.

Postnatal Pilates

Whether your baby is a few weeks, months or years old, our range of postnatal classes are specifically designed for you. Leave your bub with your partner and come along for some well-deserved Me Time.

Postnatal Pilates Mat

A full body workout on the mat using your own bodyweight for resistance and small apparatus including Thera bands, magic circles, foam rollers, chi balls and hand weights.

Postnatal Reformer Pilates

A full body workout on the Pilates reformer using spring-loaded resistance with a focus on core strength and stabilisation, posture and flexibility – sans baby.

Save My Spot!

We believe to be the best mum you can be, you need to take care of yourself first with gentleness and connection. Making your wellbeing a priority has amazing knock-on effects for your whole family.

Our children are our biggest teachers about the importance of being present and in the moment. They demand our full attention and our whole heart.

A grounded mama has more energy for her family and everyone benefits from having her ‘nurturing wings’ wrapped warmly around them.

Your health and happiness needs to come first

Our little ones watch our every move. If we put our health and happiness first, they learn to do the same. But how do you make time for yourself when you’re juggling your baby’s naps, feeds and nappies?

Gentle stretch or dynamic workout…you choose

Whether you’re after a gentle stretch or a dynamic Pilates reformer class our beautiful instructors lovely and calm presence help you feel comfortable and at ease.

As you’re growing into your new skin as a mama, our postnatal Yoga and mums and bubs Pilates classes are the best ways for you to recover.

Instead of pushing your limits in a boot camp or a gym that smells of sweaty socks, you’ll stretch and strengthen from the inside out while still feeling the benefits of a workout in a beautiful environment.

Is Pilates suitable for postnatal women with abdominal separation?

Our Postnatal Pilates Mat and Reformer and Mums and Bubs Pilates Mat and Reformer are fantastic for postnatal women with abdominal separation as classes address the importance of breath, abdominal and pelvic floor re-connection, the re-establishment of stability, correcting posture and obtaining flexibility in certain areas and will assist you in healing abdominal separation and toning your pelvic floor.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a mat and a blanket for your baby to lie on. You can hire mats for $2.

Can I bring my pram?

Yes. Please leave it at the bottom of the stairs to our back entrance on
Harris Lane.

What does a “baby- led class” mean?

Our Mums and Bubs classes are baby-led. Your activity is led by your baby. If he/she needs changing, feeding, settling or putting to sleep, it is your responsibility to attend to his/her needs. You’re welcome to do this within the room and we encourage you to join in when you can. Like us, babies have good days and bad days. Some days you’ll join in an entire class, other days you’ll spend time settling your baby. In these moments, we learn to be flexible in mind and body.

What if my baby is sleeping?

If this happens in a Mums and Bubs Pilates Mat or Reformer class, great! If it happens in our Mums and Bubs Yoga class and there’s mother and baby interaction, ask your teacher for some personal exercises or get some well-earned rest.

My baby’s crawling- Can I come to class?

Once your babies on the move we recommend coming to Baby Yoga for Rollers, Crawlers, Creepers and Early Walkers class on Fridays at 12.30pm.
