Portia has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, and has been teaching Hatha Yoga asana in slow vinyasa style since 2013. She then went on to train more specifically in prenatal yoga with Bliss Baby Yoga and has been teaching at Dr Morris Sydney Mother and Baby since 2016. Her most recent studies have been with Michael De Manincor at The Yoga Institute studying the history and philosophy of the Yoga Sutras, pranayama, meditation and yoga asana as taught by Krishnamacharya and his son T.K.V Desikachar.
Her teachings have evolved from a more dynamic masculine practice to a more subtle breath centred practice that encourages interoception and mindfulness at its core. Overall her classes offer a gentle and restorative practice that explore the connection between body and mind, facilitated through breath that are designed to leave you with a sense of well being and clarity.
