Yoga for Rollers, Crawlers, Creepers and Walkers

Enjoy yoga with your mobile baby.

While you’re stretching, and strengthening your body, your little one may be clinging to you like a koala, climbing on you like a play gym, visiting other mama’s mats, making friends or exploring the room.

After a few classes your baby has confidence to wander further from you bathed in the security that you’re at arm’s reach.

Just like in mamahood, we go with the flow in this class so when the little ones want to play, we do baby yoga moves together accompanied by songs.

Doing yoga in view of your child teaches them the importance of self- care and relaxation. You learn how to integrate yoga into your day with your children instead of than trying to find the elusive quiet moments to do yoga on your own.

Yoga for Toddlers (18 months- 3 years)

Enjoy yoga together with your toddler.

Move through a range of energetic activates to quiet poses alongside your toddler.

This fluid style of class follows your toddlers lead and helps them experience balance between a time to have energy and time for quiet. If he wants to play we engage him with fun yoga poses, animated breathing exercises and imaginative relaxation techniques sprinkled with music, songs, books and props.

Not only will your toddler feel calm from the experience, his language development and motor coordination are also explored.

Yoga for Pre-schoolers: 3- 5 years

Enjoy yoga with your pre-schooler.

Go on yoga adventures with fun yoga poses, animated breathing exercises and imaginative relaxation techniques. Interwoven stories sprinkled with music, songs, books and props. Classes develop body awareness and motor coordination. Sometimes a loud and expressive class, we introduce children to meditation and relaxation- tools they can practice and use for their whole life.

Yoga for Mindfulness for Kids: 5- 8 years

These fun, active and calming classes teach mindfulness in a creative, loving and non-competitive way. Through physical practice, yoga nurtures flexibility and freedom of movement and helps to build healthy bodies and minds.

Yoga also:

  • improves your child’s concentration and self-confidence
  • helps them feel balanced
  • recharges their immune system
  • improves their quality of sleep

Most importantly, yoga provides kids with a space to just ‘be’ and develop their radiant little selves while cultivating compassion.  They then relate to friends and family in the same way. What a gift to the world.

Yoga and Mindfulness for Tweens: 9- 12 years

Not quite a child, not yet a teen.  Our tweens workshops expand your kids mind and maturing bodies to stimulate physical strength, emotional balance, self- expression, confidence and self-esteem.

Tweens gain a deeper understanding of the physical and philosophical aspects of Yoga. Classes integrate traditional yoga poses, flowing sequences, breathing exercises, deep-relaxation, mindfulness, meditation techniques and self-reflection.

Daily life skills are built helping them:

  • to relax
  • ground themselves
  • cope with everyday challenges.

Through teamwork, connections are made and often tweens come out of this workshop with a new best friend, or a better relationship with themselves.

Yoga and Mindfulness for Teens: 13+

So many changes take place in your teens life at this age.  Their bodies, identity, friends and world view.  Yoga supports them in this transition and calms restless minds, brings balance to their stressful life and fosters self-awareness.

Undo the effects of sitting at a desk using devices by stretching tight hamstrings, relieving stress in neck and shoulders and moving the whole body.

Learn how movement and breath are connected and harness the power of intention. Use the breath to build energy and vitality when needed as well as calm the mind for rest and focus.

Family Yoga for 3 – 12 years

Little kids, big kids and kids at heart come together in a light-hearted environment for individual, partner and family yoga fun. Animated breathing exercises and soothing relaxation techniques awaken the inner-child of all age participants. Laughter and love fill each class and inspire the entire family’s relationship.
